 Note: Globalization gives rise to global and multilateral governance institutions and organisations that affect the global and regional participation of Modern China. The spread of global governance institutions and models also put an accent on human rights in national development. China's participation in the World Trade Organization and the United Nations are prime examples of such global and local trends.
